Cabinet of Curiosities
2026
Horny Table
Daddy-Long Legs
Carnivorous Lamp

Los Angeles design studio Studio Serpentine introduces Cabinet of Curiosities, its debut conceptual furniture consisting of three pieces. It features a slender side table, floral-inspired pendant, and an abstracted slithering vase, the collection has a surreal essence and creature-like quality made from bronze, brass, and glass. Created to spark imagination, these pieces invite people to assemble their own contemporary cabinet of curiosities, filled with objects of personal fascination. The series will have a limited production and are made-to-order.

The collection has a surreal essence with a splash of absurdness and creature-like forms Frankensteined together to come alive. They all have elements of soft and sharpness designed to remind you of their presence. Run into the table corner, and it will take a bite. The collection uses metals of warm color undertones. Glass brings a balance of softness and fragility to counterbalance the more masculine and stiff metal. Every element is sculpted and brings a sense of craftsmanship and thoughtfulness. All pieces were created via the lost-wax-casting process. Photography by Ye Rin Mok. Florals by Renko.

Nooks and Crannies
2026
Mid-century + 21st Century Inspired Renovation
Interior Design

The project’s inspriation was creating a nook for every object, dish, and plate. Working with the existing oak floors, cherry cabinets were picked to bring some contrast. Stainless steel was brought in to bring balance all the warm wood tones. My favorite spot is the area above the coffee maker where I can see a future mug collection being displayed.

Modern Folk Interiors
Interior Design

A renovation for a new family. Bring joy into their life with their new born and within their home design was very important. Making the home feels full of joy and color was in on the top of the list. Working with the existing home and bring more influences of arts and crafts style and leaning more into the folk was the design emphasis.

Curated Show
2026
BLUE
LA Design Weekend

Blue has been loved and revered for millennia. It transmutes itself across cultures, visuals, and languages - both ubiquitous and rarefied all at the same time. Blue is simultaneously a clear sky, clean water, precious jewels, and deadly poison. The works in this show are related by their use of blue, but otherwise are as unique and varied as the color itself.

As part of LA Design Week/End’s open call series. The show features works in blue from 15 LA-based artists and designers, curated by myself (Melissa Anderson) and Sam Aldrich. Featured artists include Ben Medansky, Entler Studio, and Cal Thompson.

It was a day of celebrating blue! From the art to people coming in blue.
